Mission
Our mission is to provide a quality early education experience that will create a thirst for learning in each child as well as the skills necessary for future school success. We wish to encourage a personal relationship with the Lord, shape moral integrity and support parents in their role as the child’s primary teacher.
Vision
It is our desire to see that through a family’s involvement with First Years they will also connect with CrossLife Church, where they will find broader opportunities to worship God, grow together and serve others.

Philosophy
We believe a child’s education is the foundation for developing their full God-given potential, growing as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man”. (Luke 2:52) We believe the best educational approach is one that focuses on the education of the whole child. Our teachers will address physical, academic, social, emotional and spiritual needs. We see each of these areas as “spokes in the wheel” that make up the individual child. All of the spokes must be present and in balance for the wheel to work properly…so it is with your child. We desire to see that each child possesses the ability to write his/her name, begin to identify letters of the alphabet, and also be able to handle disappointments, zip a coat, and walk on a balance beam. All are necessary for future success. Our Christian teachers will strive to be positive role models in the students’ lives and will implement a Christian viewpoint into every area of learning.

Curriculum & Program Overview
Our chosen curriculum for our students is Frog Street. Frog Street curriculum provides a comprehensive framework of skill and knowledge acquisition that covers all areas of a child’s growth and development. Children receive instruction in the areas of Movement, Autonomy and Social Skills, Work Habits, Oral Language, Orientation in Time and Space, Scientific and Mathematical Reasoning, Emergent Literacy and basic Spiritual Foundations. Your child will have the opportunity to engage in individual, small group, and large group activities. He or she will participate in learning centers, music, STEM, snack, playground, lunch and monthly chapel visits. We believe that our highly qualified and credential staff, in addition to our low child to adult ratio, make us the best choice for your child’s First Years.
